We are a team of coffee professionals, farmers, and fanatics who have spent decades traveling the world's greatest growing regions — from the misty highlands of Ethiopia to the volcanic slopes of Guatemala — building relationships with the farmers who dedicate their lives to growing something extraordinary.

The Difference Between Good and Extraordinary
Specialty-grade coffee — coffee that scores 80 points or above on the SCA scale — represents less than 3% of all coffee grown worldwide. Our coffees consistently score between 88 and 92 points, placing them in the top fraction of a percent of all coffee produced on earth.
The difference is not subtle. It is the difference between a flat, bitter, forgettable cup and one that stops you mid-sip, makes you put down whatever you're doing, and demands your full attention.

Uncompromising Quality
We taste every single lot before it reaches our roastery. If it doesn't move us, it doesn't ship. Less than 1% of the coffees we evaluate make the final cut.
Direct Trade
We pay our farmers two to three times the commodity market rate. Not because we have to — because the people behind an extraordinary cup deserve an extraordinary livelihood.

Radical Transparency
